Have faith in your student’s abilities and their capabilities which would make a phenomenal difference in their lives”, so said Dr. Rachna Patni Pereira founder of Matrix of Enquiry as she addressed the faculty at Don Bosco College, Panjim at their orientation programme on 16th June 2017.

She said that new employees often feel like they’re at the bottom of the food chain and one must learn to adjust with the difficulties. ‘Roll with the punches’, was what she said to get through it all. She also said that Learning is a two way process and educators must enter a classroom with an open mind, knowing that one learns through interaction.

The next session conducted by Pravin Sabnis, Founder of Unlearning Unlimited began with a one minute activity for the lecturers to make them aware of the steps to be taken before embarking on finding a solution. His session stressed on Team Work and individuals who understand the importance of team work rise higher than others. Teachers must consider the class as a team.

The day then moved to the concluding session led by Rev. Fr. Paul D’souza Rector, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda . He screened a motivational video with the message to take time to find the treasure hidden within a person by God, through which he encouraged the teachers to bring out the best in students. Fr. D’souza elaborated on the preventive system of Don Bosco based on the principles of Reason, Religion , and Loving Kindness. The staff were enthused by the encouraging words and geared up to face the new academic year ahead. Also present on the occasion were Manager, Rev. Fr. Wilfred Fernandes and Officiating Principal, Cedric Silveira.
