BBA

The B.B.A. course was established in July 2007 and is based on a credit system and has a continuous evaluation process. It includes subjects in various domains to build an overall perspective. Industry based projects are undertaken as a part of the curriculum. The course comprises 4 semesters, including a Summer Placement of 6 weeks. The college has a membership with the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This enables in building a forum for industry interaction.

The BBA Orientation was conducted on the 1st of July. Ms Tania Shirodkar , Coordinator of BBA(T&T) spoke on the values of Don Bosco, and the rules and regulations of the college. Parents also accompanied the students.

Parents Meet Details: An open day is scheduled for the end of November wherein all the parents will be present and the reports will be given.

Exam results: The students who answered their TYBBA exams had the following results

First class: 34

Placement details: Many students went for further studies . A few went in for a job, the details are given in the placement committee report.

Activities:

  1. Inter Higher Secondary School Competition for the higher secondary students was conducted which included two events .ie. Business Quiz and Business Presentation. Students from Mustifund, Peoples, Our lady of Rosary and Santa Cruz HSS attended this Programme. The Business quiz was won by Mustifund , Panaji and the Presentation was won by Our lady of Rosary , Dona Paula

  2. Study Tour to Hyderabad: The students went on a tour to Hyderabad. They studied the following places: Golkonda Fort , Salarjung Museum , Nehru zoo ,Snow World ,Ramoji Film city , Chaar Minar ,Laser light show

  1. The students participated in Money Matters 4.0 organized by Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics on 18th August 2016

  2. Economica Inter – Collegiate Event Organized by the Economics Department of Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics on 19th September 2016.

  3. Ms. Zamila Pacheco ( Asst Professor) attended Eminent Persons Lecture on ‘BRICS:YESTERDAY’S STORY?’ By Prof. Varun Sahni , Vice Chancellor Goa University on 29th September 2016 at ICG, Dona Paula Goa.

Guest Lecturers:

  1. Abigail Vaz, HR Manager and Rini Varma Training Manager of Marriot Hotel and Spa interacted with the students over the topic ‘ Best HR Practices and Emerging Trends’

  2. Mr Boromor Dias, Managing Trustee of Faith Works India, was invited as the External Examiner/Interviewer to conduct mock interviews .

  3. Mr Earl Britto, Member of the Young Indian interacted with the students over the topic ‘ Change Management-Approach and Challenges ’
