Lessons in Road Safety

The Traffic Cell of Panaji organized a traffic education program at Don Bosco College, Panaji. The program commenced with Cedric Silveira, Officiating Principal welcoming the audience and Rev. Fr, Wilfred Fernandes introducing the speakers.

SP (Traffic Cell) Devesh Kumar Mahla gave a presentation on observing road safety and taking precautions to prevent accidents. He mentioned that, in a year, over a lakh people lose their lives, in road accidents in the country. He cautioned the students against drunken driving and advised them to wear a helmet while riding and observing speed limits.

PI Brendan D’ Souza, spoke to the students about the various accidents that take place on account of negligence. He also showed videos to sensitize the audience about the same. Questions regarding road safety were put to members of the audience and students enthusiastically responded to it.

Sr. Vice President of Yes Bank, Goa, Shivprasad Shirodkar dwelt on the importance of observing traffic rules to ensure that we are safe and do not lose our precious life. He said, “Not all get a second chance”.
